Can I Get a Witness?
We recently got word that the District Attorney’s office will be meeting with the Public Defender’s office in court this Monday morning, February 23 at 9:00am. It is a motion to declare conflict of interest. Apparently, the defendant contacted his old public defender the night of the crime and Deputy District Attorney O’Bryan Kenney plans to call this attorney as a witness, so they are asking the defendant to work with a different public defender. As I understand, “Voldemort” will not appear on Monday.
I had travel planned before I received word of this court date, so I will be joining online. Kev will be attending in person. If you are able, you are welcome to join Kev in the courtroom or log on to the Zoom meeting with me. Even though this isn’t part of the “normal” course of court proceedings, we feel it’s important to make a showing for everything related to Jeannessa’s case.
As mentioned previously, the next time the defendant will appear is Friday, March 13 at 9:00am. Hopefully he will be entering his plea then. Kev and I will both be in court that day and welcome your support. (I will send a reminder out closer to that date.)
Details to join in person this Monday are below:
